Job consists of designing, developing, and testing electrical equipment and systems for industrial use. Should be able to sketch technical drawings, maps, and specifications of electrical systems to meet standards and requirements. Should also be able to perform detailed calculations to ensure standards and specifications. Must supervise manufacturing, installation, and operations of systems.

Engineers

Job consists of working in a variety of fields to analyze, develop and evaluate large-scale, complex systems. Engineers will design and draft visit systems in the field, blueprints, and manage projects.

This position may require the following:

  • You must be able to think of new systems and new ways to work

  • Design, plan, and supervise the construction of buildings, highways, and transit systems

  • Supervise production in factories

  • Apply scientific and mathematic knowledge to create solutions for various technical problems

  • Conduct surveys to gather field data

  • Manage project issues, budgets, and schedules

Maintenance Engineers

Job consists of ensuring the constant running of equipment and machinery in an industrial setting. Engineers use computer systems to organize maintenance and repair. Must control and monitor all devices that assist in maintenance. Also responsible for diagnosing any malfunctions and fixing them in a timely fashion to keep systems running properly. Responsible for inspections of equipment, helping with installation and safety guidelines, and organizing routine servicing. 

The following position may require:

  • Some degree and previous experience

  • Some licensing or certifications

  • Critical thinking skills 

  • Rapid response to malfunctions

  • Knowledge of computer systems

  • Communication and leadership skills

Maintenance Managers

Job consists of supervising and leading all maintenance related systems in an industrial plant. Manage maintenance projects and developments. Ensure equipment and line productivity is reliable, keep track of manufacturing data and records, and lead department by training and coaching line workers. Must maintain and enforce safety procedures, regulations, and policies. 

This position may require:

  • Experience in field

  • Some degree/education

  • Strong communication and leadership skills

  • Computer skills

Material Managers

This job consists of planning, coordinating, and managing the purchase of materials in an industrial setting. Also responsible for keeping inventory of materials. Must ensure materials are of high quality and in working order. Ensure best price, quality, and reliability when purchasing the products.

Plant Supervisors

Job consists of ensuring all plant equipment is in proper working order. Also ensure that all employees are running operations smoothly and safely. Must actively monitor and ensure that company and government regulations of health and safety are being followed. Supervise equipment operations, product quality, inventory, inspection, employee training, scheduling,  etc.

The following position may require:

  • High School Diploma

  • College level degree/CXC/GCSE

  • Previous experience in field

Production Managers

Job consists of supervising and coordinating work resources, components, and procedures related to manufacturing of products. Ensure cost, quantity, and quality standards are met. Maintain product inventory and cost reports. Lead and motivate staff, provide training, and ensure safe work environment in industrial plant setting.  

The following position may require:

  • AA or Bachelor degree

  • Past experience in field 

  • Ability to work in hands-on environment

  • Good leadership/management skills

  • Effective communication skills

  • Computer knowledge

Senior Maintenance Technicians

Job consists of performing a variety of specialized duties in the construction, repair, and maintenance of City parks, streets, and buildings including constructing, repairing, and/or replacing fences, gates, and related structures; operates a variety of heavy and/or light construction and maintenance equipment.

This position may require the following:

  • Strong in the areas of attention to detail, organization and cleanliness

  • Proactive, solutions-oriented behavior

  • Assists external contractors

  • Perform general maintenance and repairs on equipment

  • Operate a variety of hand and power tools
